Your experts for high-quality valves, pumps and motors

For 30 years

...we supply you with high-performance special valves, ball valves and valves for the chemical and petrochemical industries and plant construction, among others. We also develop, design and manufacture centrifugal pumps for special applications according to your specifications (engineer-to-order) - in particular submersible motor pumps for mining, petrochemicals, gas caverns, general industry as well as offshore and water applications.

It all began in 1993 with the founding of DKM Armaturen GmbH. This was followed six months later by the founding of Kramp, Kamara und Bärmann GmbH, which became KKB Pumpentechnik GmbH in 2021. Since 2022, both companies have had a joint location in Zweibrücken. This allows us to optimally combine our expertise and apply it to your specific needs.

About us

We work together in a 30-strong team with a wide range of expertise. As a result, we complement each other and can solve a wide range of problems for you.

It is particularly important to us that we work together as a family and contribute to a more sustainable world: you receive products from us that have been specially developed for you, that will last for generations and for which we can replace every single part. We supply manufacturer-independent spare parts and carry out conversions in mechanics and flow hydraulics with manufacturer expertise. Thanks to the variety of retrofit solutions in combination with reverse engineering, we can find a customised solution for every task.

Materials

Depending on the material properties of the various media, we can offer you a wide range of materials. Our ball valves are available in carbon steel, stainless steel, Hastelloy, titanium and special materials and are suitable for use at -196 °C to +1,000 °C in accordance with DIN/ASME etc. We manufacture our KKB pumps in bronze, aluminium bronze, cast steel, chrome steel and duplex / superduplex. We process cast and forged material and have a stock to be able to manufacture parts quickly.

Development, digitalisation and Industry 4.0

We see digitalisation as an opportunity to provide you with new products, digital services and easy access to our offerings. We also want to use digitalisation to optimise our internal processes.

Construction

Our products are designed to meet the highest demands in terms of service life and reliability. When selecting materials, we are guided by the application-specific material and process properties of the pumped medium. The materials and components can be flexibly and individually customised at any time, as our sophisticated wear part concept enables all relevant components to be replaced quickly and easily.

Coatings

We are constantly researching new coatings (e.g. to increase the operating temperature) in order to be able to operate our products reliably and safely even in critical areas of application. Through our close contact with universities and development partners, we also ensure the continuous improvement of our products for you.

Digital life cycle file

We document your specific data in a digital CV file. This includes product specifications and production history, description of the equipment status (installed drives, etc.), maintenance information as well as acceptance and test reports. The file is quickly available to our service technicians on site via a web portal. You can also call up relevant information in the same way.

Hydraulic development

With the help of our expertise and our in-house design tool, we can develop customised hydraulics such as radial, semi-axial, axial and hybrid hydraulics, which we test for functionality in advance using CFD simulation. Thanks to the precise design of the impellers, guide vanes and volute casing, our pump units achieve above-average efficiency levels. We are happy to support you with your hydraulic development issues and realise solutions that are tailored to the individual requirements of your system.

Motors developed in-house

Our motors developed in-house are characterised by unique service lives and reliable functionality due to special design features. In order to guarantee this high product quality, we select the materials for our motors depending on the medium used and its (process) temperature. The HTM motor series has been specially developed for high-pressure applications (such as in tank farms and gas caverns). Our BTM motor series is optimised for use in the mining sector and features a particularly compact design. We adapt our modular standard MTM series flexibly to the needs and requirements of your system project. We develop and manufacture low-voltage motors with up to 1kV and medium-voltage motors with up to 6 kV and a drive power of 400 kW.

Pump test field / valve test benches

We have an in-house pump test centre where we put every unit through its paces before delivery. For motors with drive outputs of up to 300 kW and 1000 V, we can reproduce flow rates of 1 to 1,400 m³/h and operating pressures of up to 100 bar and document them in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9906. In addition to submersible motor pumps, we can also test all types of vertical submersible pumps on our test rig. We have a well depth of 8 metres available for this purpose.

We have various test rigs available for testing the valves up to a maximum pressure of 2000 bar. We carry out pressure and leak tests in accordance with DIN EN 12266-1:2012-06. We can also realise customer-specific acceptance tests. We use water, air, nitrogen and helium as test media.

Certified

Our many years of expertise guarantee you maximum quality, operational safety and environmental protection for our products. We manufacture and test the latter according to a quality-assured production process in compliance with all relevant applicable standards and regulations.
